Bollywood star Dharmendra has also come here to taste this sweet. This sweet is mostly sold in many big cities including Mumbai. The history of this sweet, which is the pride of Moodva, is about 250 years old. The makers of this special sweet claim that there is no adulteration in it.
Brijmohan of Gopal Mishthan Bhandar, in front of Moodwa bus stand, 22 km from Nagaur, told that during the British rule, his forefathers invented this sweet and started selling it. Brijmohan claims that this sweet is completely pure and also that it is made and available only in Moodwa. Describing this sweet as the identity of generations of Sikhwal Brahmins, he said that many film stars have also tasted it.
Fresh milk is churned continuously. Some sugar syrup is added while stirring. After churning on low flame for about one and a quarter hours, the mawa of milk is ready. When the color of chitpak becomes chocolaty, it is kneaded again by adding remaining sugar syrup and ghee. According to Brijmohan, if the quality of milk is good, Chitakpak can be prepared from 4 kg milk to 1.25 kg to 1.5 kg milk. About half a kilo of sugar syrup and 200 grams of ghee are also used in this. After cooking, the liquidity of the sugar syrup does not remain. It can also be easily stored for two weeks.
